the beauty of the universe

I have always loved this quote by Carl Sagan - it encapsulates my spirituality quite well, really, as I am fascinated by science (astronomy, botany, physics, chemistry, geology, and so on):
"A religion, old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the universe as revealed by modern science might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths. Sooner or later, such a religion will emerge."
- Carl Sagan
(via witches and scientists)

Love this quote. Thanks for sharing it. Science is spiritual for me, too.

Well I am on record as saying that all scientific discoveries are small 'r' revelations of the mind of God. Strictly speaking there should be no conflict between science and belief in a Craetor of the Universe.

Depends on your definition of Creator (or Creatrix).

I'm an emanationist and a pantheist, personally.

I have no quibble with panentheists :)

I am wavering on the theist part...
